Goal:
Produce actions that will result in meeting and exceeding all
growth targets for the Elementary School. Support Principal (and
Instructional Leadership Team) to enhance instructional effectiveness.
Vision:
Keep the Principal constantly in the spotlight as the Instructional
leader. Help Principal maintain focus on what is happening in
the classroom. Act as a second set of eyes to identify additional
improvement opportunities. Serve as a resource connection. Encourage,
support and partner with the Principal to make IT happen.

for continuous improvement by maintaining consistent focus
on the classroom.

Facilitate
Support Activities including: |
Review
of Current Program
 |
Data/Assessment:
Analysis and Interpret Data (SAT 9 & other student achievement
data, discussions with leadership re: assessment process) |

Instruction/Curriculum:
Review level of implementation of curriculum being used in
R/LA and Math. Identify targeted strategies, level of implementation
and data relative to effectiveness. Assess commitment to standards
based recovery system. |

Student
Centered Environment: Review classroom management and behavior
management systems as they relate to student learning. |
Identify
additional improvement opportunities
 |
Based
on review of current data, identify any additional improvement
opportunities that align with current plan. |
Identify
Key Results Indicators
 |
Based
on review of current "givens" identify those elements
that must be observable in every classroom to produce desired
results. These elements will become the Classroom Quality
Indicators that are monitored during "Learning Walks". |
Build
and Maintain Professional Learning Community:

Assess
areas of needed professional development. |

Review
professional development plan. |
 |
Promote
and support Principal in role of Staff Developer. |

Support
Principal in building and or sustaining a sense of sharedresponsibility
for improvement that creates a school culture grounded in
the strong belief that all children can achieve at high levels.

Principal in nurturing the adults in the learning community
that have the will to make IT happen. |

Implementation Monitoring

Assist
Principal in conducting quarterly Learning Walks to assess
level of implementation of identified Classroom Quality Indicators*
of progress toward identified goals. (*Essential improvement
elements as identified in school plan, Staff Directives, Givens
and Non Negotiable.) |

Evaluation of Progress

Participate
with principal in quarterly examination of performance data
to assess level of progress toward identified plan goals. |
